  • Author: Ray
  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

Spicy, creamy, and explosively flavorful—Bang Bang Shrimp or Chicken is the weeknight dinner hero with Southern soul and a viral twist.

Ingredients

Scale

1 lb shrimp or chicken breast (cut bite-size)

1/2 cup plain mayo

2 tbsp Sriracha

1 tbsp honey

1 cup cornstarch

Optional garnish: chopped scallions or sesame seeds

Suggested swaps:

– Firm tofu instead of chicken

– Greek yogurt or vegan mayo

– Maple syrup or agave

– Rice flour or almond flour

Instructions

1. Toss the shrimp or chicken in cornstarch until coated. Shake off excess.

2. Bake at 400°F for 12–15 minutes or air fry at 375°F for 10–12 minutes until crispy and golden.

3. Mix the sauce: stir together mayo, Sriracha, and honey in a bowl. Adjust spice or sweetness to taste.

4. Toss the cooked shrimp/chicken in the sauce or drizzle it on top.

5. Plate and garnish with scallions or sesame seeds. Serve immediately.

Notes

Customize your Bang Bang: Use tofu, mushrooms, or keto swaps to suit your diet.

Double the sauce for dipping fries or veggies.

Kid-friendly tip: reduce Sriracha, add sweet chili sauce or ketchup.

Perfect with garlic noodles or rice bowls.
