Description

Ingredients

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

3/4 cup granulated sugar

1/4 cup brown sugar

2 eggs

1 tsp vanilla bean

3/4 cup all-purpose flour

2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder

1/4 tsp baking powder

1/4 tsp salt


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

2. Melt butter and chocolate chips in the microwave in 30-second intervals until smooth; let cool slightly.

3. Whisk in granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla until mixture is thick and glossy.

4. Fold in flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder until just combined.

5. Scoop dough by rounded tablespoons onto baking sheet, spacing 2″ apart.

6. Bake for 10–12 minutes, until tops crackle and centers are barely set.

7. Let cool for 5–10 minutes before transferring. Enjoy warm or store airtight.

Notes

Chilling the dough for 20–30 minutes before baking enhances flavor and helps cookies hold their shape.

Customize with white or mint chocolate chips, marshmallows, peanut butter swirls, or even almond flour for a protein boost.
