Ingredients
1 lb ground beef (80/20)
1 tsp kosher salt
½ tsp cracked black pepper
4 brioche or whole grain buns
Sliced cheddar cheese
Lettuce leaves
Tomato slices
Red onion slices
Pickles
Optional: caramelized onions, avocado, burger sauce
Instructions
Divide beef into four even patties and indent centers slightly.
Heat skillet on high with a drizzle of oil.
Season patties and sear each side for 3–4 minutes.
Add cheese in the final minute, cover to melt.
Lightly toast buns.
Assemble with toppings of choice and serve hot.
