Description
Cajun pasta is a bold and creamy Southern comfort dish that fuses spicy Creole seasonings with silky, savory sauce—perfect for both quick dinners and special occasions.
Ingredients
8 oz penne pasta
2 chicken breasts, grilled or blackened
1 ½ tbsp Cajun seasoning
1 tbsp olive oil
1 small red bell pepper, julienned
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup heavy cream
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
1. Boil pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a pan over medium heat, sauté chicken in olive oil with 1 tbsp Cajun spice. Cook thoroughly and remove.
3. Using the same pan, sauté garlic and bell pepper until softened.
4. Stir in cream, remaining Cajun spice, and Parmesan. Simmer 5–7 minutes until slightly thickened.
5. Return pasta and chicken to the pan. Toss until fully coated and heated through.
6. Serve hot. Garnish with parsley, extra cheese, or red pepper flakes.
Notes
Swap chicken with shrimp, tofu, or mushrooms for variation.
Coconut cream works as a great dairy-free substitute for heavy cream.
Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days; reheat with a splash of cream or water.
Add tomato paste for a rosé-style sauce or pesto for an herby twist.
