Sizzling, juicy chicken fajitas with sautéed peppers and bold seasoning, perfect for a weeknight dinner or fun family meal.
Ingredients
1 ½ lbs boneless skinless chicken breast (thin-sliced)
3 bell peppers (red, yellow, green—sliced)
1 red onion (sliced)
2 tablespoons olive oil
Juice of 1 lime
2 teaspoons chili powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon onion powder
¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Salt and black pepper to taste
Tortillas (corn or flour)
Instructions
Slice chicken into thin strips and place in a large bowl.
Add olive oil, lime juice, and spices. Toss to coat evenly and marinate for 10 minutes.
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook for 5–7 minutes until fully cooked.
Remove chicken and sauté sliced peppers and onions in the same skillet for 6–8 minutes.
Return chicken to the pan. Mix well and heat for another 2 minutes.
Serve hot in warm tortillas with your favorite toppings.
Notes
Use a cast iron skillet for best sear and flavor.
Pre-sliced fajita meat saves even more prep time.
