Dolly’s chicken and stuffing casserole

Description

A creamy, cozy one-dish meal featuring shredded chicken and golden stuffing, baked to perfection.


Ingredients

3 cups cooked shredded chicken

1 can cream of chicken soup

1 cup sour cream

1/4 cup milk or broth

1 box stuffing mix

1/2 cup melted butter

Optional: sautéed mushrooms, peas, celery


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a casserole dish.

2. Mix chicken, soup, sour cream, and milk in a bowl.

3. Spread mixture in the dish.

4. Toss stuffing mix with melted butter.

5. Spread stuffing on top of chicken layer.

6. Bake uncovered for 35–40 minutes until golden.

7. Let rest before serving.

Notes

Use rotisserie chicken for convenience.

Freeze leftovers for up to 3 months.

Add frozen veggies or cheese for variation.
