Description
A quick, satisfying hot sandwich with creamy avocado, crisp greens, halal turkey, and melty cheese. Perfect for lunch or an easy dinner.
Ingredients
2 slices whole grain or sourdough bread
3–4 slices roasted turkey breast
1/2 ripe avocado, mashed
1/2 cup fresh spinach or lettuce
2 slices halal mozzarella or cheddar cheese
1 tsp grainy mustard or spicy mayo
1 tbsp olive oil or plant-based butter
Instructions
Heat nonstick pan or panini press over medium-high heat.
Spread olive oil or butter on the outer sides of the bread slices.
On the inside of one slice, spread mustard, then layer turkey, cheese, spinach, and mashed avocado.
Top with second slice of bread and grill 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and cheese is melting.
Slice diagonally and serve hot.
Notes
Swap turkey with tuna, grilled tofu, or chickpea mash for variety.
Use gluten-free bread if preferred.
Add tomatoes, onions, or kimchi for extra layers of flavor.
