Spicy Chickpea Sliders

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 10 sliders 1x

Description

These spicy chickpea sliders are a protein-packed, prep-ahead finger food perfect for any game day gathering. Baked instead of fried and seasoned with bold spices, they’re a healthier, flavorful alternative to traditional sliders.

Ingredients

Scale

2 cans chickpeas, drained and rinsed

1/4 cup rolled oats

2 garlic cloves, minced

1 tsp cumin

1/2 tsp smoked paprika

3 tbsp tahini

Juice of 1 lemon

Salt and pepper to taste

Mini burger buns

Lettuce leaves

Thinly sliced cucumber

Yogurt-based sauce for topping

Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment.

Place chickpeas, garlic, oats, cumin, paprika, tahini, lemon juice, salt, and pepper into a food processor.

Blend until combined but slightly chunky.

Form into small patties and place onto baking sheet.

Chill for 10 minutes to firm up.

Bake for 10 minutes, flip, and bake for another 10 minutes.

Serve in buns with lettuce, cucumber slices, and yogurt sauce.

Notes

Chill the patties before baking to help them firm up.

You can double the recipe and freeze extras.
