Description
Silky, garlicky, and ultra-comforting, this Pasta Alfredo blends Southern warmth with Italian tradition for a soul-satisfying meal in just 25 minutes.
Ingredients
8 oz fettuccine
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1 cup grated Parmesan
2 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and cracked black pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente.
2. While pasta cooks, melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.
3. Add minced garlic and stir for 1 minute until fragrant.
4. Pour in cream, stirring constantly, and simmer for 4-5 minutes.
5. Reduce heat and gradually stir in Parmesan.
6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
7. Drain pasta and toss with sauce until coated.
8. Serve immediately with optional herbs or protein.
Notes
To deepen flavor, let garlic brown slightly before adding cream.
For a lighter version, reduce butter and increase Parmesan.
Add-ins like mushrooms, pesto, or roasted squash work beautifully.
