  • Total Time: 50 minutes
  • Yield: 4 cups 1x

Description

A sweet, tangy, and slightly spiced peach chutney made with ripe peaches, vinegar, and warming spices—perfect for grilled meats or veggie side dishes.

Ingredients

Scale

4 cups peeled and diced fresh peaches

1 small onion, finely chopped

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup apple cider vinegar

1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger

1 garlic clove, minced

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon chili flakes

1/4 teaspoon turmeric

1 teaspoon mustard seeds

1/2 teaspoon sea salt

Instructions

Toast mustard seeds in a saucepan until they pop.

Add chopped onion and cook until translucent.

Stir in garlic and ginger, cook for 1–2 minutes.

Add peaches, brown sugar, vinegar, and spices.

Bring to a boil, then simmer for 30–35 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Cool slightly and store in clean jars.

Notes

Peach chutney thickens as it cools.

Adjust chili flakes for more or less heat.
