Description
A cozy, homemade pumpkin spice latte that captures the nostalgic taste of fall in every sip. Customizable, quick to make, and healthier than store-bought.
Ingredients
1 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
2 tbsp pumpkin purée
1 tbsp maple syrup
½ tsp pumpkin spice
½ tsp vanilla bean
1 shot espresso or ½ cup strong coffee
Optional: whipped cream, cinnamon sugar, maple glaze
Instructions
1. In a saucepan on medium heat, whisk together milk, pumpkin purée, maple syrup, and pumpkin pie spice. Heat until steamy (don’t boil).
2. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
3. Froth the mixture using a hand blender or milk frother until velvety.
4. Brew your espresso or strong coffee.
5. Pour coffee into a mug, then top with the pumpkin-milk mixture. Stir gently.
6. Top with whipped cream and a dusting of cinnamon sugar or a swirl of maple glaze.
Notes
Try oat, almond, or soy milk for a vegan version.
Add a scoop of collagen or protein powder for a nutritious twist.
Batch-prep the pumpkin-milk base and refrigerate for up to 5 days.
