Description
This easy, flavorful slow cooker lasagna layers meat, cheese, and noodles into a hearty family favorite with minimal effort.
Ingredients
1 lb lean ground beef
1 small yellow onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
2 tsp Italian herbs
1 cup baby spinach
9 no-boil lasagna noodles
1.5 cups ricotta cheese
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated parmesan
1 egg
Olive oil for greasing
Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
Grease the slow cooker with oil.
Brown the beef and onion in a skillet, add garlic and seasonings.
Stir in marinara sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.
Mix ricotta, egg, and half the parmesan in a bowl.
Layer sauce, noodles, ricotta mixture, mozzarella, spinach; repeat.
Top with final layer of sauce and remaining cheeses.
Cook covered on LOW for 4–5 hours.
Let rest 10–15 minutes before serving, garnish with basil.
Notes
Use cottage cheese instead of ricotta for variation.
Add kimchi or chili flakes for adventurous flavor.
