Description

Decadent lava cake portioned perfectly for two, made with simple ingredients and baked in under 15 minutes.


Ingredients

1/4 cup chopped dark chocolate

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

1 whole egg

3 tablespoons sugar

Pinch of salt

1 tablespoon all-purpose flour

1/8 teaspoon vanilla bean powder


Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease two ramekins.

Melt the chocolate and butter together in a microwave-safe bowl.

Stir in egg, sugar, and salt until smooth.

Add flour and vanilla bean powder; mix lightly.

Divide batter between ramekins. Bake for 10–12 minutes or until edges are set and center jiggles slightly.

Let sit for 1–2 minutes before serving warm.

Notes

For molten centers, chill batter in ramekins for 10 minutes before baking.

Serve with dairy-free ice cream or fresh berries.
