Ingredients
1 lb ground beef (80/20 lean)
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
Salt and black pepper to taste
8 small corn or flour tortillas
1 cup shredded cheddar or Mexican cheese blend
Optional toppings: avocado slices, chopped cilantro, pickled jalapeños, sour cream, diced onions, lime wedges
Instructions
Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat.
Divide ground beef into 8 small balls. Season with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Place a beef ball on the skillet, top with tortilla, and smash flat using a burger press.
Sear for 2–3 minutes until browned, then flip.
Sprinkle cheese on top of meat side while tortilla crisps on the bottom.
Cook for an additional 2 minutes until the cheese is melty.
Remove and top with desired garnishes.
Repeat for remaining balls.
