Ingredients
4 lbs chicken pieces (preferably thighs and drumsticks)
1 cup BBQ sauce
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
In a large bowl, combine BBQ sauce, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
Marinate the chicken in a resealable bag and refrigerate for at least an hour.
Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
Grill chicken, turning occasionally, for 35 minutes and baste with BBQ sauce.
Ensure chicken’s internal temperature reaches 165°F.
Let the chicken rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.
Notes
Allow chicken to marinate overnight for richer flavor.
For a twist, add a teaspoon of liquid smoke to the marinade.
