Ingredients
12 oz pasta (penne, rotini, or shells)
1 lb ground beef
5 tablespoons unsalted butter
5 garlic cloves, minced
1 small yellow onion, diced
1 cup heavy cream
¾ cup grated Parmesan
1 tsp Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
¼ cup pasta water (reserved)
Chopped parsley or basil (for garnish)
Instructions
1. Boil pasta in salted water until al dente; reserve ¼ cup water.
2. In a skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic and onion until fragrant.
3. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Season with Italian herbs.
4. Pour in heavy cream and stir in Parmesan. Simmer to thicken.
5. Mix in pasta and reserved water. Toss to coat evenly.
6. Garnish with parsley. Serve hot and creamy.
Notes
Use freshly grated Parmesan for best flavor.
Swap ground beef for Italian sausage for a spicier version.
Store leftovers in airtight container up to 4 days.
