Description
Golden, flavorful tofu bites that are crunchy on the outside, tender on the inside, and made without deep-frying. Perfect for snacks, bowls, or meals.
Ingredients
1 block (14 oz) extra-firm tofu, pressed and cubed
2 tbsp cornstarch
2 tbsp soy sauce or tamari
1 tbsp avocado oil
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
Freshly cracked black pepper to taste
Optional: sesame seeds or green onions for garnish
Instructions
Press tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess moisture.
Cut pressed tofu into even bite-sized cubes.
Toss tofu with soy sauce until coated.
In a separate bowl, mix cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, and pepper.
Coat tofu evenly with starch mixture.
Heat oil in non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
Cook tofu 3–4 minutes per side until golden and crisp.
Optionally toss with your favorite sauce or serve as-is.
Notes
Use parchment paper for baking crisp tofu.
Toss in sauce just before serving for best texture.
Reheat leftovers in oven or air fryer.
