Description
A quick, sweet-and-savory chicken dish with sticky honey garlic sauce that’s perfect for weeknights or impressing last-minute guests.
Ingredients
Boneless, skinless chicken thighs (or chicken breast)
Fresh garlic, minced
Raw or regular honey (maple syrup as backup)
Low-sodium soy sauce
Cornstarch (optional for thickening)
Sesame oil
Instructions
1. Chop chicken into bite-sized pieces and pat dry.
2. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for 6–8 minutes until golden.
3. Add minced garlic and sauté briefly until aromatic.
4. Whisk together honey, soy sauce, and sesame oil in a bowl.
5. Pour sauce over chicken and stir to coat.
6. Simmer for 5–7 minutes. For stickiness, add a slurry of 1 tbsp water + 1 tsp cornstarch and stir until thickened.
7. Serve hot over rice, veggies, or grain of choice.
Notes
Add a bit of ginger and chili flakes for extra zing.
Great for meal prep—flavor improves overnight.
Freeze without thickening; reheat gently to maintain texture.
