Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (panko for crunch)

1 egg

1/4 cup honey

4 cloves garlic (roasted or minced)

2 tbsp soy sauce or Worcestershire sauce

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tbsp oil (for searing)

1/4 cup water (for sauce)


Instructions

1. In a bowl, combine ground meat, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix gently.

2. Form into 1-inch balls using a cookie scoop or hands.

3. Heat oil in a skillet and sear meatballs for 2–3 minutes per side until browned.

4. Set meatballs aside. In the same pan, add garlic, honey, soy sauce, and water. Stir and simmer.

5. Return meatballs to the pan and cover. Cook for 10 more minutes until sauce thickens and meatballs are fully cooked.

6. Serve hot. Garnish with chives or sesame seeds if desired.

Notes

Meatballs can be frozen up to 3 months; thaw and reheat with a splash of water.
