Ingredients
1 lb ground lamb
1 small red onion, finely chopped
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp ground cumin
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp kosher salt
1/2 tsp chili flakes (optional)
2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley or mint
1 tbsp plain Greek yogurt
Black pepper to taste
Olive oil
Burger buns of your choice
Toppings such as lettuce, tomato, red onion, and pickles
Instructions
Mix lamb, onion, garlic, cumin, paprika, salt, chili flakes, herbs, yogurt, and black pepper in a bowl.
Form into 4 even patties without overworking the mixture.
Preheat grill or skillet over medium-high heat and lightly brush with olive oil.
Cook patties for 4–5 minutes per side, until internal temperature reaches 160°F.
Toast buns if desired, then assemble with toppings and chosen sauce.
Let burgers rest for 2–3 minutes before serving to lock in juices.
Notes
Add yogurt to patty mix to boost moisture.
Tzatziki and lemon tahini are ideal sauces.
Patties freeze well raw or cooked for up to 3 months.
