Description
An easy, high-flavor tofu stir fry packed with crisp veggies and bold sauce, ready in under 25 minutes with no long pressing required.
Ingredients
1 block extra firm tofu (14 oz)
2 tablespoons avocado oil
3 tablespoons low sodium tamari
1 tablespoon maple syrup
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon chili garlic sauce
1 red bell pepper, julienned
1 cup snap peas
1/2 red onion, thin-sliced
1 teaspoon minced ginger
2 cloves garlic, minced
Optional: sesame seeds, green onions, lime wedges
Instructions
Pat dry tofu using a towel. Cube evenly.
Toss tofu in cornstarch and 1 tbsp tamari.
Heat oil in pan and cook tofu until golden, ~6–7 minutes.
Add garlic, ginger, and onion, sauté 2 minutes.
Stir in veggies and cook until slightly tender, 3–4 minutes.
In a small bowl, mix tamari, chili paste, and maple syrup. Add to pan.
Toss until everything is coated and heated through. Serve with rice.
Notes
No need for long pressing cycles—just use good-quality extra firm tofu.
Adjust spice to taste by reducing chili sauce and adding lime juice.
