Description
A quick and delicious tofu stir-fry recipe with crispy tofu cubes, fresh veggies, and a savory sweet glaze—all done using one skillet.
Ingredients
1 block firm tofu, pressed and cubed
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp maple syrup
2 cups mixed bell peppers, sliced
1 cup broccoli florets
Cooked rice or soba noodles
Instructions
Press tofu using a tofu press for 15 minutes.
Cube tofu and toss in soy sauce, sesame oil, and maple syrup.
Heat oil in nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
Brown tofu evenly, turning to crisp all sides.
Transfer tofu out. Stir-fry bell peppers and broccoli till tender.
Add tofu back and deglaze pan with a splash of soy sauce or water.
Toss well and serve over rice or noodles.
Notes
For extra crunch, dust tofu cubes lightly with cornstarch before searing.
Use tamari for gluten-free option.
Add ginger or chili flakes for more heat.
