Description
Crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside, these air fryer sweet potatoes are quick, healthy, and endlessly versatile.
Ingredients
2 large sweet potatoes, peeled or unpeeled
1 ½ tablespoons olive oil or avocado oil
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
½ teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and freshly cracked black pepper to taste
Optional: cinnamon, cayenne, or maple syrup
Instructions
1. Wash and cut sweet potatoes into even pieces.
2. Soak in cold water for 30 minutes, then drain and pat dry.
3. Toss with oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
4. Preheat air fryer to 400°F for 3–4 minutes.
5. Arrange potatoes in a single layer in air fryer basket.
6. Cook at 400°F: 12–14 min for cubes, 15–17 min for rounds, 16–18 min for wedges.
7. Shake basket halfway through cooking.
8. Serve hot with herbs or dipping sauce.
Notes
For extra crispiness, toss the sweet potatoes with a teaspoon of cornstarch before cooking.
Sweet versions: add maple syrup and cinnamon. Savory: try parmesan and herbs. Spicy: go with Cajun seasoning and garlic aioli.
Store leftovers in an airtight container up to 4 days. Reheat in air fryer at 375°F for 3–5 minutes.
