  • Total Time: 50 minutes
  • Yield: 24 bars 1x

Description

A chewy, crispy treat topped with toasted sliced almonds and a rich, buttery base. These almond bars are the perfect dessert for any gathering or weekday indulgence.

Ingredients

Scale

1 cup unsalted butter

1 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract (alcohol-free)

1 ½ cups all-purpose flour

½ tsp baking powder

½ tsp salt

¾ cup sliced almonds

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.

Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Mix in vanilla.

Combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir into the wet mixture until just combined.

Spread batter evenly in the pan using a spatula.

Sprinkle sliced almonds evenly on top and press gently into the batter.

Bake for 28 to 30 minutes or until edges are golden and a toothpick comes out clean.

Cool for at least 15 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Let bars cool completely before slicing for best texture.

Store in an airtight container or freeze for longer shelf life.
