Description
Fluffy, homemade cinnamon rolls filled with warm spiced apple chunks and topped with a creamy glaze. A cozy treat perfect for breakfast or dessert.
Ingredients
3 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
¼ cup granulated sugar
2 ¼ tsp instant yeast
½ tsp salt
½ cup warm plant-based milk
¼ cup melted butter (dairy-free if needed)
1 egg
1 tsp non-alcoholic vanilla extract
2 large apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), peeled and diced
3 tbsp unsalted butter
½ cup brown sugar
1 tbsp flour
2 tsp cinnamon
¼ tsp nutmeg
4 oz cream cheese (room temp)
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tbsp milk (plant-based)
½ tsp vanilla extract (alcohol-free)
Instructions
Bloom yeast with warm milk and sugar for 10 minutes.
Mix in butter, vanilla, egg, then flour and salt. Knead 7–8 min.
Let dough rise 1 hour. Sauté apples with sugar, spices, butter, and flour.
Roll dough, spread filling, roll up and slice.
Place in dish, rise again 20 min, then bake at 350°F for 25 min.
Beat icing ingredients and drizzle over warm rolls.
Notes
Best apples: Granny Smith or Honeycrisp.
Cool slightly before icing to avoid melting.
Freeze unbaked or baked rolls for later.
