Description
Fluffy, warmly spiced, and packed with natural sweetness—these apple pancakes blend Southern tradition with cozy modern vibes. Quick to make and endlessly customizable, they’re a sweet, spiced comfort food perfect for any morning.
Ingredients
All-purpose flour 1½ cups
Baking powder 2 tsp
Ground cinnamon 1 tsp
Salt ¼ tsp
Egg 1 large
Milk (dairy or plant-based) 1¼ cups
Maple syrup (or honey) 2 tbsp
Butter (melted) 2 tbsp
Apple (peeled, grated or finely chopped) 1 large (Honeycrisp or Granny Smith)
Instructions
1. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
2. In another bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, maple syrup, and melted butter.
3. Fold the wet into the dry ingredients just until combined—lumps are okay.
4. Add the grated or finely chopped apple and stir gently.
5. Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat; lightly grease with oil or butter.
6. Pour ¼ cup of batter for each pancake. Cook 2–3 minutes until bubbly on top and golden underneath.
7. Flip and cook 2 more minutes until both sides are browned and the apple bits are tender.
8. Serve hot with butter or cinnamon raisin bread for a double-spiced experience.

Use oat or almond flour for gluten-free.
Coconut milk for dairy-free richness.
Sprinkle brown sugar on the batter for caramelized edges.
