A fresh and delightful pasta dish featuring asparagus, parmesan, and a hint of lemon.
Ingredients
12 oz pasta (fettuccine or spaghetti)
1 lb asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2-inch sections
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
1 teaspoon lemon zest
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Boil pasta according to package instructions, reserving 1/2 cup of the pasta water before draining.
In a large skillet, sauté garlic in olive oil over medium heat until fragrant. Add asparagus and cook for 5-7 minutes.
Toss cooked pasta with asparagus, adding reserved pasta water as needed.
Sprinkle with parmesan and lemon zest. Season with salt and pepper.
