Description
Quick and tender banana bars with a warm vanilla flavor, topped with a creamy frosting or served plain.
Ingredients
3 ripe bananas, mashed
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup plain yogurt or sour cream
2 large eggs
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla extract (alcohol-free)
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13 baking dish.
In a large bowl, mash bananas and mix in melted butter, eggs, yogurt, sugar, and vanilla.
In a separate bowl, whisk flour and baking soda. Gradually stir into the wet mixture.
Pour batter into the baking dish and spread evenly.
Bake for 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Cool completely before frosting, if desired.
