Description
A moist and fluffy vanilla birthday cake that’s easy enough for beginners and adaptable for any celebration.
Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
1½ cups sugar
3 eggs
¾ cup neutral vegetable oil
1 cup milk
1½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F and prepare your cake pans.
In one bowl, mix all dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, soda, and salt.
In another bowl, whisk sugar and oil until creamy. Add eggs one by one, then stir in vanilla extract.
Slowly add dry mixture to wet mixture while pouring in milk. Mix just until combined.
Pour batter into pans and smooth top.
Bake for 35–40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Let cool completely before decorating.
Notes
Customize with citrus zest, chocolate chips, or almond extract.
Decorate with fresh fruit or simple whipped cream frosting.
