A quick, one-pot meal that marries the simplicity of pasta with nutrient-rich broccoli in a light, flavorful sauce.
Ingredients
8 oz pasta (penne or fusilli)
2 cups fresh broccoli florets
3 garlic cloves, minced
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tbsp olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente.
Steam or blanch broccoli until tender but bright green.
In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté garlic until golden.
Combine broccoli, pasta, and Parmesan. Toss with salt and pepper.
Serve immediately, garnished with more Parmesan if desired.
Notes
Can be made gluten-free by using gluten-free pasta.
Add chili flakes for a spicy kick.
