Description
Thick, gooey chocolate chip cookie bars that are perfect for parties or quick desserts. Simple to make, quick to bake, and easy to love.
Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 1/2 cups brown sugar, packed
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons alcohol-free vanilla extract
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13 inch pan with parchment paper.
In a bowl, cream butter and brown sugar until fluffy.
Beat in eggs and vanilla until smooth.
Gradually stir in flour until well combined.
Fold in chocolate chips or mix-ins.
Spread dough evenly in pan and smooth out the top.
Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until bars are golden brown and set.
Cool in pan for 20 minutes, then refrigerate for 15 minutes before slicing.
Notes
For clean cuts, chill bars before slicing.
Swap chocolate chips for raisins or white chocolate for variation.
