A festive, tangy-sweet cranberry tart made with fresh cranberries, orange zest, and a flaky golden crust. Perfect for holidays or vibrant weeknight desserts.
Ingredients
2 cups fresh cranberries
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup fresh orange juice
1 teaspoon orange zest
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (alcohol-free)
1 prepared 9-inch tart crust (gluten-free or regular)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F and place crust in tart pan.
In a saucepan, combine cranberries, sugar, and orange juice. Simmer over medium heat until berries burst (7–10 minutes).
Dissolve cornstarch in 1 tbsp water and add to mixture until thickened.
Stir in vanilla and orange zest, remove from heat.
Pour mixture into crust and spread evenly.
Bake for 30–35 minutes until crust is golden and filling has set.
Cool completely before slicing. Chill for cleaner cuts and enhanced flavor.
Notes
Use fresh cranberries for better tartness and texture.
Optional toppings include dairy-free whipped cream or crushed pistachios.
