Description
A soulful, versatile creamy pasta inspired by Southern roots and creative twists—ready in under 30 minutes, packed with comforting flavors and endless customization options.
Ingredients
8 oz fettuccine
2 tbsp unsalted butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 ½ cups heavy cream
¾ cup grated Parmesan
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Boil salted water and cook pasta until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.
2. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
3. Pour in the cream and stir until it simmers.
4. Reduce heat and gradually whisk in Parmesan. Let the sauce thicken.
5. Add drained pasta and a splash of pasta water to loosen the sauce. Toss gently.
6. Taste and season with salt and pepper.
7. Garnish with fresh parsley or basil and extra cheese, if desired.
Notes
Use olive oil instead of butter for a lighter version.
Roasted garlic adds sweetness and depth.
Half-and-half can substitute heavy cream in a pinch.
Try smoked paprika or chili flakes for heat.
Customize with shrimp, spinach, or Cajun chicken.
