Chocolate Chip Cookie Skillet

  • Total Time: 40 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings 1x

Description

A warm and gooey chocolate chip cookie baked in a skillet, perfect for sharing or indulging solo with a scoop of ice cream.

Ingredients

Scale

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup brown sugar

2 eggs

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Add eggs and mix well.

Stir in the flour, baking soda, and salt until just combined.

Fold in chocolate chips, saving some to sprinkle on top.

Grease an oven-safe skillet and press the dough evenly into it.

Top with remaining chips and bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown around the edges.

Serve warm with ice cream if desired.

Notes

Can substitute butter for coconut oil or vegan butter.

Chilling dough before baking enhances flavor and texture.
