Traditional Easter cookies with a modern twist, perfect for festive gatherings.
Ingredients
2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
1 cup butter, softened
1 ½ cups granulated sugar
2 large eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup assorted sprinkles
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
In a separate bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Shape dough into 1-inch balls and roll them in sprinkles.
Place on an ungreased baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes.
Cool on wire racks.
Notes
For a nutty aroma, use almond extract instead of vanilla.
Consider using a silicone baking mat for easier baking.
