A customizable, beginner-friendly homemade pizza night recipe with quick dough, rich tomato sauce, and topping ideas for all ages.
Ingredients
2½ cups all-purpose or bread flour
1 packet (2¼ tsp) instant yeast
¾ cup warm water
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp sea salt
1 tbsp olive oil
14 oz crushed tomatoes
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp dried oregano
½ tsp chili flakes
2 cups shredded mozzarella
½ cup shredded cheddar
Optional toppings: mushrooms, bell peppers, olives, roasted chicken, spinach, pineapple, kimchi
Instructions
Activate yeast in warm water with sugar until foamy (5 min).
Mix in flour, salt, and olive oil to form dough. Knead 8–10 minutes.
Let dough rise covered for 45–60 minutes.
Preheat oven to 475°F and prep toppings.
Roll out dough and place on pan or pizza stone.
Spread tomato sauce, add cheese, and top as desired.
Bake 12–15 minutes until crust is golden and cheese bubbly.
Cool for 2 minutes before slicing.
