Description

Garlic butter shrimp is the ultimate blend of rich, garlicky flavor and fast, fuss-free cooking. Perfect for weeknights or dinner parties.

Ingredients

Scale

1 lb large shrimp (peeled and deveined)

4 tbsp unsalted butter, divided

5 cloves garlic, minced

1 tbsp olive oil

½ tsp paprika

¼ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

Juice of ½ lemon

2 tbsp chopped parsley

Instructions

1. Heat olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.

2. Add the shrimp in a single layer. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika.

3. Cook for 2 minutes, then flip. Add garlic and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir gently.

4. Cook shrimp another 1-2 minutes until pink and opaque.

5. Lower heat. Stir in lemon juice, remaining butter, and parsley.

6. Toss shrimp to coat evenly. Serve immediately with crusty bread or over a bed of garlic potatoes.

Notes

Don’t overcrowd the skillet—crowding steams shrimp instead of searing.

Try using a ceramic non-stick skillet for even cooking and easy cleanup.

Serve with crusty garlic bread, lemon rice, or roasted veggies.

Refrigerate leftovers up to 3 days and reheat gently over low heat.

To add variation, try coconut milk and lime zest for a tropical twist or red pepper flakes for a kick.
