Garlic Mushrooms

  • Total Time: 17 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

Savory, simple, and full of umami, these garlic mushrooms are the perfect addition to almost any meal. Quick to sauté and packed with flavor.

Ingredients

Scale

1 lb mushrooms (white button or cremini)

45 cloves garlic, minced

2 tbsp olive oil or butter

½ tsp kosher salt

¼ tsp black pepper

1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

1 tsp lemon juice

Optional: crushed red pepper flakes or thyme

Instructions

Gently wipe mushrooms to clean them.

Slice into halves or quarters.

Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.

Add mushrooms in a single layer and cook undisturbed for 4–5 minutes.

Stir, then cook another 3–5 minutes until browned.

Lower heat, add garlic, and saute 2–3 minutes until fragrant.

Season with salt, pepper, lemon juice, and fresh parsley.

Serve immediately or store up to 3 days.

Notes

Don’t overcrowd the pan or the mushrooms will steam instead of brown.

Use a mix of mushroom varieties for complex flavor.

Add a splash of balsamic vinegar for depth.
