Description

Soft, chewy lemon brownies with a bright citrus glaze. A twist on classic brownies with zesty flavor and melt-in-your-mouth texture.


Ingredients

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 tsp baking powder

1/4 tsp salt

3/4 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1/2 cup butter, melted

2 tbsp lemon zest

1/3 cup fresh lemon juice

1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)

2 tbsp lemon juice (for glaze)


Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F and grease or line an 8×8-inch baking pan.

In a mixing bowl, whisk sugar, lemon zest, and eggs until light.

Stir in melted butter and fresh lemon juice.

In a separate bowl, combine flour, salt, and baking powder.

Fold dry ingredients into wet mixture until combined and smooth.

Pour batter into pan and smooth the top.

Bake 23–25 minutes or until golden around edges and center is set.

Cool completely before glazing.

Mix powdered sugar and lemon juice to form glaze, then drizzle.

Notes

For deeper flavor, zest lemons fresh before juicing.

Customize with fruit, nuts or dairy-free cream cheese.
