Ingredients

Scale

2 cups All-purpose flour

1/2 cup Unsalted butter (melted)

1/2 cup Pure maple syrup

1/4 cup Brown sugar

1 large Egg

1 tsp Vanilla bean

1/2 tsp Baking soda

1/4 tsp Salt

Instructions

3. Add the egg and vanilla, mix until fully combined.

4. Mix flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.

5. Combine dry ingredients with wet, stir until just mixed.

6. Scoop dough onto trays with 2-inch spacing.

7. Optional: Chill dough for 30 minutes.

8. Bake 10–12 minutes until edges are golden.

9. Cool for 5 minutes on tray, then transfer to wire rack.

10. Optional: Lightly flatten dough before baking for soft centers.

Notes

Use pure maple syrup, not pancake syrup, for authentic flavor.

Add chopped pecans or white chocolate for a twist.

Substitute with oat or almond flour for variation.

Use coconut oil and a flax egg for a vegan version.
