Ingredients
2 cups All-purpose flour
1/2 cup Unsalted butter (melted)
1/2 cup Pure maple syrup
1/4 cup Brown sugar
1 large Egg
1 tsp Vanilla bean
1/2 tsp Baking soda
1/4 tsp Salt
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking trays with parchment paper.
2. Whisk together melted butter, maple syrup, and brown sugar until smooth.
3. Add the egg and vanilla, mix until fully combined.
4. Mix flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
5. Combine dry ingredients with wet, stir until just mixed.
6. Scoop dough onto trays with 2-inch spacing.
7. Optional: Chill dough for 30 minutes.
8. Bake 10–12 minutes until edges are golden.
9. Cool for 5 minutes on tray, then transfer to wire rack.
10. Optional: Lightly flatten dough before baking for soft centers.
Notes
Use pure maple syrup, not pancake syrup, for authentic flavor.
