Ingredients
1/2 cup 100% pure maple syrup
1 tbsp unsalted butter
1 tbsp brown sugar
Dash of Dijon mustard (optional, for savory use)
Instructions
1. In a small saucepan, combine 1/2 cup maple syrup and 1 tbsp unsalted butter.
2. Heat over medium, stirring until butter is fully melted.
3. Add 1 tbsp brown sugar and Dijon mustard if using.
4. Simmer for 3–5 minutes until slightly thickened and coats the back of a spoon.
5. Remove from heat and let cool slightly before using.
6. Brush onto meats or veggies during last 5–10 minutes of baking.
Notes
Try variations with cinnamon, orange zest, or soy sauce for global twists.
