Deliciously chewy matcha cookies made with premium Japanese green tea powder, balanced with sweet white chocolate chips for a uniquely earthy and sweet bite.
Ingredients
1½ cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons premium matcha powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
¼ teaspoon sea salt
½ cup unsalted plant-based butter, softened
¾ cup granulated sugar
1 large egg or egg replacer
1 teaspoon vanilla paste (alcohol-free)
½ cup white chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheet with non-stick mat.
Whisk together flour, matcha, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
Cream butter and sugars in another bowl until fluffy.
Mix in egg and vanilla. Combine wet and dry ingredients.
Fold in chocolate chips if using.
Scoop dough into tablespoon balls. Chill if desired.
Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are just golden.
Cool 5 minutes on tray, then move to wire rack.
Notes
Use ceremonial-grade matcha for best flavor and color.
Dough balls can be frozen and baked directly.
