Southern Peach Tart

  • Total Time: 90 minutes
  • Yield: 6 slices 1x

Description

A nostalgic yet modern peach tart recipe, baked with fresh peaches, a flaky crust, and a kiss of cinnamon. Perfect for summer gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale

2 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced

1 tbsp lemon juice

1/2 cup coconut sugar

1 tbsp cornstarch or arrowroot powder

1 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp vanilla bean paste

1 pre-made tart crust

Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

Combine peaches, lemon juice, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and cornstarch in a bowl. Toss to coat.

Press tart crust into the pan and prick with a fork.

Spoon peach mixture into the crust, distributing evenly.

Optional: Add lattice or decorate edges with extra dough.

Bake for 45–50 minutes until golden.

Cool for 15 minutes before serving.

Notes

Use ripe peaches for best results.

Arrowroot can replace cornstarch for a gluten-free thickener.

Make it vegan by ensuring crust contains no butter or dairy.
