Ingredients
6–7 fresh Bosc pears (peeled, sliced)
2/3 cup sugar

Pinch of nutmeg and salt
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 double pie crust
1 egg for egg wash

Place bottom crust into a 9-inch pie dish.
In a large bowl, toss pears with lemon juice, sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
Pour the coated pear slices into prepared crust.
Cover with top crust using full or lattice style. Seal and crimp edges.
Brush the top crust with egg wash.
Bake for 55–60 minutes until crust is golden and filling bubbles.
Let cool for at least 30 minutes before serving.
Notes
Best served warm with dairy-free whipped topping.
Use firm pears to avoid mushy filling.
Cover crust edges with foil to avoid over-browning.
