Ingredients
1 cup granulated sugar
6 tbsp unsalted butter
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 to 1 1/2 tsp sea salt

Instructions
1. In a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, melt granulated sugar evenly, stirring constantly.
2. Once melted and amber-colored, carefully add butter (it will bubble).
3. Stir until fully incorporated, then slowly pour in heavy cream while stirring.
4. Boil the mixture for 1 minute, then remove from heat.
5. Add sea salt and optional vanilla bean; stir to combine.
6. Cool for 20–30 minutes before storing or serving.
Notes
Use coconut cream for a dairy-free version.
Swap in brown sugar for a deeper flavor.
Strain sauce for extra smooth texture.
