Slow Cooker Meatballs

  • Total Time: 6 hours 15 minutes
  • Yield: 6 servings 1x

Description

Tender homemade meatballs simmered slowly in your choice of sauce—ideal for weeknight dinners, meal prep, or party appetizers.

Ingredients

Scale

1 lb lean ground beef

½ lb ground turkey

1 egg

½ cup breadcrumbs

¼ cup grated onion

2 garlic cloves, minced

½ tsp salt

¼ tsp black pepper

1½ tsp dried oregano

2 cups marinara or BBQ sauce

Optional: ½ tsp red pepper flakes

Instructions

In a mixing bowl, combine beef, turkey, egg, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, and oregano.

Gently mix and roll into golf-ball sized spheres.

Lightly coat the slow cooker with sauce, then layer meatballs inside.

Pour remaining sauce evenly over meatballs, ensuring full coverage.

Cover and cook on low for 6 hours (or high for 3 hours).

Serve immediately or hold on warm setting for up to 2 hours.

Notes

You can use gluten-free breadcrumbs if desired.

Swap marinara for teriyaki or BBQ for flavor variations.

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
