Ingredients
1 lb lean ground beef
½ lb ground turkey
1 egg
½ cup breadcrumbs
¼ cup grated onion
2 garlic cloves, minced
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp black pepper
1½ tsp dried oregano
2 cups marinara or BBQ sauce
Optional: ½ tsp red pepper flakes
Instructions
In a mixing bowl, combine beef, turkey, egg, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, and oregano.
Gently mix and roll into golf-ball sized spheres.
Lightly coat the slow cooker with sauce, then layer meatballs inside.
Pour remaining sauce evenly over meatballs, ensuring full coverage.
Cover and cook on low for 6 hours (or high for 3 hours).
Serve immediately or hold on warm setting for up to 2 hours.

You can use gluten-free breadcrumbs if desired.
