Ingredients
2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
12 ounces spaghetti or linguine
4 ounces creamy goat cheese, crumbled
1/4 cup fresh basil, thinly sliced
1 teaspoon lemon zest
2 tablespoons olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Start by slicing strawberries and preparing basil and lemon zest.
In a pot, cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente.
Reserve a cup of pasta water, then drain the rest.
In a large pan, heat olive oil, and add strawberries until they soften.
Add pasta, goat cheese, lemon zest, and basil to the pan.
Season with salt and pepper.
Use pasta water to adjust sauce consistency.
Garnish with additional basil and serve immediately.
