Description
This juicy and quick ground turkey skillet is bursting with umami-rich flavor from garlic, tamari, and maple. It’s the perfect healthy weeknight dinner that comes together in under 30 minutes.
Ingredients
1 lb lean ground turkey
1 tbsp avocado oil
1 medium yellow onion, chopped
3 garlic cloves, minced
2 tbsp soy-free tamari or coconut aminos
1 tsp maple syrup
1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
Instructions
Heat avocado oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sauté chopped onion for 3–4 minutes.
Add garlic and cook for another 30 seconds.
Add ground turkey and cook until browned, about 6–7 minutes.
Stir in tamari, maple syrup, and red pepper flakes. Continue cooking for 3–4 minutes.
Serve over rice, grains, or vegetables of choice.
Notes
Use coconut aminos for soy-free option.
Adjust spiciness by adding more or less crushed red pepper.
